Hello there, and welcome to my little gaming corner. I'm a budding game designer with an unspoken preference for visual novels and narrative-driven games. Simply put, I love telling stories with games, especially ones that aren't rushed, but slowly work their way into your heart.
Of course, I'm still learning, and my work may not be perfect, but I'm willing to make every detail ‘worthy of the player's curiosity’ as much as possible.
What appeals to me about visual novels is that they allow **words and images to speak together**. It's fascinating to have that multi-layered feeling when you're reading a character's narration, while at the same time little details in the picture are telling another story.
And, as a novice designer, I've always found visual novels to be particularly well suited to expressing complex emotions: it doesn't take a bunch of complicated mechanics to quiet the player and immerse them in the story. I love that feeling.
A final thought
I'm learning, figuring things out as I go along, but trying to say something with every detail. If my game can make you stop and think at some point, my design is worth it. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to meeting you in my game without fail. 😊
